The first is a member directory, which you can use to find contact details for other members. To add yourself to the directory, click 'Membership Options', and then 'Directory Entry'. You can choose which contact details you make available to other members. Note that the directory is password protected so that only members can view it: Your details will not be on the public website. Secondly, there is now a discussion forum available to members. This can be accessed by clicking on 'Forum' at the top of the page. Hopefully this is easy to use: To post a new topic, click the 'new topic' button and fill in the form. To view an existing topic, click on its name. You can then reply to the topic if you wish by clicking the appropriate button. There is also the possibility of being able to upload files here to share with colleagues, this feature should be available within a few weeks. Hopefully you will find these features useful. If you have any comments or ideas for improvements or new facilities, please email website@educational-audiologists.org.uk PROPOSED STATEMENT OF RIGHTS FOR DEAF AND HEARING-IMPAIRED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES Peter Keen has prepared a proposal for a statement of rights, and would like your feedback. See the notices page. UPDATE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS It is now possible to update your contact details via the website. Just click on 'Member Options' at the top of the screen. Please take this opportunity to check that we have your correct details on file. Note that you will need your BAEA website password to access this page. If you do not have one, email website@educational-audiologists.org.uk for assistance. EMAIL ADDRESSES We are now able to offer members an email address ending in @educational-audiologists.org.uk. This is an opportunity to have a professional looking address which does not change if you move jobs or change internet providers. Unfortunately, at present, this is a forwarding only email address. You will need to give your existing address so that mail sent to you at educational-audiologists.org.uk can be sent on. Hopefully a full email account service will be available in the near future. To sign up, click here. Note that you will need your BAEA website password. If you do not have one, email website@educational-audiologists.org.uk for assistance. JOIN THE EMAIL SUPPORT GROUP. Join this group simply by emailing your Chair John Ellwood - jellwood@educational-audiologists.org.uk with a question you would like others to consider or even a piece of advice you would like to share with other Educational Audiologists. You should get an answer fairly soon from at least one or more members of the group. |
